Welcome to my blog!

As Serendipity Photography grows and moves on I wanted to set up a blog on my website that allows my clients, business contacts, friends and family to be able to see what I’m doing.  My cousin, Ben, helped me to set up my website in August 2007 when I first looked at moving from teaching to photography.  Now 18 months on it is definitely time to make a few necessary alterations to the website to show what my business is now doing.  My good friend Mark Day has spent many hours  making the changes and improvements to the website.

Two of the main things I wanted to highlight as Serendipity Photography grows were 1. Shutterbugs and 2. One to One Training.

Shutterbugs

1.Shutterbugs is my Baby and Children photography section of the business.  (Chris Dowson from Das Grafik designed my new Serendipity Photography Logo and the created a shutterbug for me out of the strawberry on my main logo.)  I love photographing children and babies and am really excited about this part of my business.  One of the packages I am promoting with Shutterbugs is my “Bump to 1st Year” session.  This includes a photo shoot with the mum to be in the last month of pregnancy and then I have 4 more sessions with the baby after it’s born.  This is a wonderful package as you are able to see the baby change and grow over the year.

One to One Photography Training is something that was suggested to me last year as another area of my business.  I have 9 years of teaching experience and thought it would be great to combine my love of teaching with my love of photography.  I have done numerous teaching days and loved everyone of them.  Everyone I have spent time with has had a different interest in photography but they have all wanted to improve how they take photos and to learn more about how to use their cameras properly.  I find these days really rewarding and it’s exciting to see the improvement in my “students” photography as they go out and practice what they’ve learnt.

Check out the rest of my website to see what other things I offer and do with Serendipity Photography.

Keep coming back to my blog as I want to use this as a place to give my clients a “taster” of their photo session before they see all the photos in a gallery on my website.  It’ll also be a place where I can talk about how Serendipity is growing and the business opportunities that I have as well as links with other businesses.
