The People of Castle Market

There is a rejunvenation project happening in Sheffield.  One of the things the council is doing is allowing businesses the chance to create window displays which celebrate Sheffield and the business that work here.  I am doing a project with Richard Smith who is a caricaturist.  We decided to celebrate Castle Market and the people who work and shop there.  Castle Market is 50 years old this year so it was a great opportunity to go and chat to people who work and shop there.  Richard and I had a great morning meeting some great people.  Everyone we met had a story to tell and we are looking forward to putting a display together in the next few weeks.  We are going to create a Market Stall window with my portraits Richard’s caricatures of the same people.  Hopefully people will love finding the caricature of each person we photographed.  Here are a few of the characters:
