On the 17th day of Christmas the Strawberry Photographer brings to you….A Little Cherub.

I have already blogged about 2 of my little Shutterbugs who are the babies of some of my wedding couples. Today’s Advent Blog is another very special little Shutterbug….Baby B. I met baby B’s parents in 2008 when they asked me to be the photographer for their wedding on 1st May 2010. They were the first wedding couple that I ever booked when I started Serendipity Photography. Alex and Jessica had chosen the 1st May as their wedding day as it was a very special date for them. Due to that date being booked up for their wedding venue in 2009 they were looking for 2010 for their wedding. I loved photographing their special day earlier this year but was even more excited when I got a call to say that they were expecting a baby and would I photograph the 1st year of their baby’s life as well as their wedding? I jumped at the chance and it has been a real privilege to photograph such important times in their life as they grow as a family. Baby B was born in January 2010 so it has been a wonderful year not only photographing Alex & Jessica’s wedding but also taking lovely photos of their little girl and being able to watch her grow.

Here are some photos from our latest shoot. She is a gorgeous little girl with a beautiful smile. These first photos were of Baby B in her Christening gown as they had just celebrated her Christening at the same church where Alex & Jessica got married earlier in the year.

Once we had taken photos of her in her Christening gown she was then changed into a very stylish outfit. Baby B has to be one of the most stylish babies I have met. She looked gorgeous.

On the 15th day of Christmas the Strawberry Photographer brings to you….A Little Flower. One of my favourite subjects to photograph are babies…my little Shutterbugs. I have always loved children and so to be able to photograph them and get images which their parents treasure makes my job the best in the world.

This little Shutterbug in today’s Strawberry Advent Blog is a cherub and my precious little goddaughter. She is daughter to one of my best friends so I loved to be able to spend a morning with them both and get these gorgeous photos.

The Strawberry Advent Blog: 12th December – A Special Family Shutterbug

On the 12th day of Christmas the Strawberry Photographer brings to you….A Special Family Shutterbug. Today’s Advent blog has a personal touch to it. I love photographing families, especially as they are celebrating the arrival of a new little one. Today’s newest Shutterbug is actually my cousin’s baby and the first of the next generation in our family. When I was told that they had been bought my Shutterbug “Bump to 1st Year” package as a gift I was really excited about taking the photos of baby Jamie.

Our first shoot took place in August when I went up to Newcastle to photograph Mark, Claire and bump. It wasn’t long after that I was back there taking photos of Jamie as he made a slightly early arrival on this planet. He was clearly very keen to join our family!

On the 4th September 2010 James David Garside was born weighing 6lbs 14ozs. 2 weeks later I was traveling up to Newcastle to take photos of baby Jamie. He was a perfect model and so easy to photograph. Looks like he comes from great stock….but then I might be slightly biased.

The Strawberry Advent Blog: 6th December – A blue eyed Shutterbug

On the 6th day of Christmas the Strawberry Photographer brings to you….a blue eyed Shutterbug. Today is another gorgeous little Shutterbug baby photo shoot. Not only is this little one very cute with the most amazing blue eyes but he is also the son of another of my wedding couples who got married in June 2009. It was very exciting to get a phone call asking me to photograph their baby and of course I jumped at the chance of being able to take photos of another wonderful time in their lives as a family.

Ewan is a gorgeous little boy who was great to photograph. He was happy to be photographed and we spent a long time trying on different outfits and playing whilst also getting some great shots that his parents love.

The Strawberry Advent Blog: 4th December – A Strawberry Shutterbug

On the 4th day of Christmas the Strawberry Photographer brings to you….a Strawberry Shutterbug. This is a very special post today as this little Shutterbug is another baby of one of my wedding couples. I photographed Clare & Ryan’s wedding in 2009 so I was very excited when I got a call to say that they were expecting a baby & could I come to take photos. I took some lovely photos of Clare towards the end of her pregnancy. It was then a waiting game for the phone to ring to say that Lacey had arrived.

Lacey is a beautiful little girl who was incredibly placid and calm throughout the whole shoot. She didn’t complain once as I moved her around and made her lie in different ways. I can’t wait to carry on taking photos of her as she grows up.

The Strawberry Advent Blog: 1st December – 3 Little Shutterbugs

Life has been incredibly busy in our Strawberry Serendipity Photography world so I apologise for not blogging for a very long time! With Christmas fast approaching I thought I would choose 24 of my favourite shoots over the last few months and blog one a day as an ADVENT blog. I’d like to think that my blog is your own Strawberry Advent Calendar with a new set of photos being revealed every day.

To start off I want to share with you 3 little Shutterbugs who are so gorgeous. Shutterbugs is my baby & children photography. I love photographing families with their children and I do a package which allows me to follow a family from pregnancy all the way through to their little one’s 1st birthday. I have spent time with a number of families but here are 3 Shutterbugs who all turned 1 over the summer.

Our first Shutterbug is little Celia. She was born earlier than expected so our pregnancy shoot ended up becoming a newborn shoot. It has to be said she wasn’t a fan of having her photo taken in the first shoot but by the final shoot she was a natural in front of the camera and an absolute delight to photograph. She’s a true little redhead strawberry Shutterbug.

Our second Shutterbug is Daniel. His mum got one of our Shutterbug “Birth to 1st Year” vouchers as a gift when she had Daniel. It was a gift from a friend who lives in Thailand so she saw it as a great way to keep track of how Daniel was growing up & changing. Daniel had a few moments in our first shoot where he needed to let us know he wasn’t happy but after a little nap he was ready for his photo to be taken. A gorgeous blue eyed boy.

Our third and final Shutterbug is the gorgeous Niamh. I first met Niamh when she was only a couple of weeks old. Like Daniel, her mum had also been bought a voucher for our Shutterbug “Birth to 1st Year” package by the same friend who is out in Thailand and didn’t want to miss out on these little ones growing up. When Niamh was first born she had beautiful auburn hair which she still had for her 3rd sitting but by the time I saw her for her 1st birthday she had a head ful of stunning blonde curls. Here she is as a very little Shutterbug.

On July 4th 2009 I was privileged to photograph Ryan and Clare’s wedding in Doncaster. They had a beautiful wedding and were so much fun to photograph.

Now, just a year on I was really excited to receive a phone call from Ryan and Clare to say they were pregnant and wanted to book me for a Shutterbug “Bump to 1st Year” photography package. I was over the moon to be part of another important stage of their lives and couldn’t wait to go round to photograph Clare and her beautiful bump.

Here at Serendipity Photography we love the Shutterbugs side of our business. There is nothing better than meeting a new baby and capturing wonderful photos of them for their proud parents. If you have had children you will know how quickly they grow up. That newborn stage doesn’t last long and then they start to smile and grabbing for their feet. Before long they are sitting up and starting to move around the floor.

At Shutterbugs we like to capture all those special moments and make sure you have photos and memories to treasure for ever. We specialise in our different photo packages from “bump to newborn” (2 sittings which include a bump shoot and then newborn baby shoot). “Bump to 1st year (5 sittings from pregnancy and then 4 times during the first year). “Birth to 1st Year” (4 sittings from newborn to 1st birthday). All of these capture truly special moments as your little one grows up. (We also do one off Shutterbug sittings too).

To celebrate National Family Week (31st May – 4th June) we are launching a competition for a family to win a one off baby portrait sitting. This is a fantastic prize where Katy from Shutterbugs will come to your home to capture your little one in your own surroundings. She will spend time capturing those really special moments for you and then you can view the photos on an online gallery where you can choose your favourite to be a 10×8 framed print.

Baby Photography – Our newest Shutterbug

Every family and newborn baby I meet is special. It is so wonderful to be welcomed into their lives to capture memories of such an amazing time. I have found that more and more of my Shutterbug families have been recieving a voucher for my “Bump to 1st Year” or “Birth to 1st Year” packages. This latest family recived their package as a gift from the little Shutterbug’s very proud grandparents. It is a fantastic gift for the new parents and a wonderful opportunity for the rest of the family to keep up to date with how the little one is growing up.

Baby J (who is 4 weeks old) was a natural in front of the camera and only complained once when he wanted to be fed. I’m looking forward to doing our next shoot with him to see how much he’s grown.

Vouchers for my Shutterbug photo shoots are a popular gift for birthdays and Christmas so it is always lovely to meet the families who have received one. This family were lovely to photograph with their 2 gorgeous daughters.

The shoot was done in the comfort of their own home so that they could feel relaxed and I could get the best out of them. The children were both happy and made my job incredibly easy! It was smiles & giggles from the start of the shoot to the end. Perfect.
