On the 22nd day of Christmas the Strawberry Photographer brings to you….A very tiny Shutterbug.

As you may have seen throughout my December blogs I love photographing babies and children. Shutterbugs is one of the favourite parts of my job as I get to be part of such special times in my clients’ family lives. It is such a privilege to be asked to come into a family home and take photos of their precious little ones especially when they are very new to this world.

Today’s blog is of Baby L who is the youngest and tiniest Shutterbugs I have photographed. He was absolutely adorable and didn’t grumble as I moved him round to capture the cutest photos of him. I am adding quite a few photos to this blog because there were too many to choose from….be warned, your heart may melt!

On the 6th day of Christmas the Strawberry Photographer brings to you….a blue eyed Shutterbug. Today is another gorgeous little Shutterbug baby photo shoot. Not only is this little one very cute with the most amazing blue eyes but he is also the son of another of my wedding couples who got married in June 2009. It was very exciting to get a phone call asking me to photograph their baby and of course I jumped at the chance of being able to take photos of another wonderful time in their lives as a family.

Ewan is a gorgeous little boy who was great to photograph. He was happy to be photographed and we spent a long time trying on different outfits and playing whilst also getting some great shots that his parents love.

Here at Serendipity Photography we love the Shutterbugs side of our business. There is nothing better than meeting a new baby and capturing wonderful photos of them for their proud parents. If you have had children you will know how quickly they grow up. That newborn stage doesn’t last long and then they start to smile and grabbing for their feet. Before long they are sitting up and starting to move around the floor.

At Shutterbugs we like to capture all those special moments and make sure you have photos and memories to treasure for ever. We specialise in our different photo packages from “bump to newborn” (2 sittings which include a bump shoot and then newborn baby shoot). “Bump to 1st year (5 sittings from pregnancy and then 4 times during the first year). “Birth to 1st Year” (4 sittings from newborn to 1st birthday). All of these capture truly special moments as your little one grows up. (We also do one off Shutterbug sittings too).

To celebrate National Family Week (31st May – 4th June) we are launching a competition for a family to win a one off baby portrait sitting. This is a fantastic prize where Katy from Shutterbugs will come to your home to capture your little one in your own surroundings. She will spend time capturing those really special moments for you and then you can view the photos on an online gallery where you can choose your favourite to be a 10×8 framed print.

4th sitting with one of my Shutterbugs

I have been taking photos of this little one since he was a “bump”. I was recommended to his mum and dad by another of my Shutterbug families who are also having my “Bump to 1st Year” package. They had met through anti natal classes so the babies are the same age and it is great to be photographing them at similar stages throughout the year.

This little one is quite a thinker and his expressions are priceless. We were worried we were getting many smiles as he was quite happily sitting there watching what was going on but I’m really pleased that I got some great shots of his cheeky smile.

I love my little Shutterbugs at this age as you can really see their personalities coming through. It’s also such a priviledge to be part of such an important year in the family’s life and to be asked to be part of it. I get to know the families and love every minute.

2 week old Shutterbug

Let me introduce you to one of my tiniest Shutterbugs. This is Baby B. She is the beautiful daughter of Jessica and Alex. I first met them about 2 years ago when they booked me to do they wedding photography. They are getting married on the 1st May this year so with the arrival of their daughter it’s going to be a very big year for them! Once they knew they were pregnant they asked me to do my “Birth to 1st Year” Shutterbugs package which was an absolute honour. It is so exiciting to be part of 2 very important parts of their lives and to be able to capture the memories for them.

We had a great shoot with Baby B, she is so tiny I can’t wait to see how she grows up and share the photos with you.

Here are a few of her from our first shoot. I managed to get some of her when she was awake and then when she curled up to have a sleep.
